Tian'e wins high-quality development award in Guangxi

Hechi's Tian'e county has recently been awarded the title of 2021 Guangxi High-quality Development and Progress County for its precise policies in various aspects to promote the sustained development of the economy.

Tian'e has been adamant on coordinating economic development and social stability. The county reached a GDP of 6.58 billion yuan ($959.66 million) and a fixed asset investment of 7.32 billion yuan in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 96.7 percent. The annual fiscal revenue for 2021 was 658 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.4 percent.

Agriculture with modern characteristics has developed rapidly in the county. In 2021, the added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 1.83 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9 percent.

Industries above designated size have been striving for high-quality development. In 2021, the total output value of industries above designated size in the county decreased by 17.1 percent, while the added value of industries below designated size increased by 4.9 percent year-on-year.

The modern service industry has developed strongly. In 2021, the added value of the tertiary industry in the county was just under 2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.4 percent. More than 3.3 million tourists were received throughout the year, achieving a total tourism consumption of 4.06 billion yuan.

Urban and rural construction has adhered to green development. In 2021, the county had a permanent population of 143,100, with an urbanization rate of 44.93 percent. The green space development in county towns was 34.59 percent, and the green space development in small towns was 13.03 percent.
