Guangxi cities sign 6.71m yuan deals at Guilin agricultural fair

The 22nd Guangxi Famous and Special Agricultural Products Fair opened on Dec 29 in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, with 14 prefecture-level cities in Guangxi signing contracts amounting to 6.71 billion yuan ($963.56 million).
Guilin has been supporting the large-scale development of agriculture and has formed six 10-billion-yuan distinctive industrial clusters for grain, fruits, vegetables, high-quality livestock and poultry, Chinese herbal medicine, and southern alpine characteristic planting.
At the same time, Guilin has created an ecological and healthy brand image by cultivating its selenium-rich natural resources. It has 29 certified national geographical indication agricultural products to its name.
This year's event will last four days and cover an exhibition area of 26,000 square meters. Over 860 exhibitors will showcase more than 3,000 products at the event.
The agricultural fair highlights new innovations to stimulate momentum for agricultural and rural development. The newly added entrepreneurship and innovation exhibition area is mainly divided into three sections, including the new technology achievement exhibition, and the innovation and entrepreneurship agricultural product exhibition.
