Luocheng develops green economy

Since the beginning of the 2022, Luocheng Mulam autonomous county has seized the opportunity to support Hechi city to build a pilot zone for green development, and further promotes the concept of "clear water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains."

In order to protect the environment, Luocheng has improved the system of river and forest chiefs at village, township and county levels. This was all done in accordance with the requirements for the management of landscapes, forests, lakes and grasslands.

In terms of making good use of the environment to develop local economy, the county has promoted the upgrading and development of five mountain spring water enterprises, and made efforts to build a good water production base in China.

Luocheng insists on developing ecological resources and exploring eco-tourism models. It has built three national AAAA tourist scenic spots, including Cotton Tiankeng Tourism Resort, Chenglong Lake Scenic Area and Changsheng Cave Scenic Area.

At the same time, Luocheng has made full use of its abundant forest resources and developed an under-forest economy. Its under-forest area reaches 1.16 million mu (77.3 hectares) and has an output value of 790 million yuan ($113.21 million).
