Dahua promotes development of pastoral complexes
Dahua Yao autonomous county in Hechi city, Guangxi has been making efforts to build more pastoral complexes in recent years to boost rural vitalization.
Dahua adopts the business model of "company + cooperative + base + farmers" and supports leading agricultural industrialized enterprises to become stronger by formulating and improving the incentive mechanism to bring more top players into the area.
The county has introduced the Dahua Culture Tourism Investment Group and Guangxi Dahua Baili Hegu Leisure Farming Investment. At the same time, it has fostered six agricultural professional cooperatives to jointly lead the operation of the pastoral complexes.
In creating the Fishery Joy Pastoral Complex, the county plans to implement 69 pilot projects with a total planned investment of 171 million yuan ($24.52 million), mainly relying on the construction of a core demonstration area for modern agriculture and the Hongshuihe-ASEAN International Fishing Base.
To date, 52 projects of the Fishery Joy Pastoral Complex have been completed, 14 are under construction, and three have not yet been started. However, a 1,000-mu (66.7 hectares) aquaculture base and a 500-mu recreational fishing base have both been built.
