Workers are toiling away to speed up construction of the Bama North Interchange to Fengshan Tourist Road, which is due to be completed by the end of December.
The 12-meter-wide road spans 7.1 kilometers and is designed to accommodate speeds of up to 40 km per hour. With a total of four lanes running in both directions, this is a key traffic artery connecting Donglan, Bama and Fengshan counties.
Huang Wei, a manager of the project, said the total investment in the tourism road project is 110 million yuan ($15 million), and it is now about 50 percent finished. After its completion, the road will help to optimize tourism resources in Bama, boost rural vitalization, better integrate the Donglan-Bama-Fengshan cluster, and pave the way for a health and healing resort in Bama with international appeal.
