2 Hechi counties named Guangxi red tourism development units

Hechi's Donglan county has been designated a pilot unit for the integrated development of red tourism in Guangxi in 2022, while Fengshan county has been named a candidate unit for the pilot project of red tourism integration development in Guangxi in 2022, according to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Donglan county has five red tourism scenic spots, namely Donglan Martyrs Cemetery, Wei Baqun Memorial Hall, Lenin Rock, Kuixing Tower, and Wei Baqun's former residence. These scenic spots are not only patriotism education bases in Guangxi, but were also included in the national red tourism classic scenic spots list in 2011, as well as rated as national 4A tourist attractions. In the first half of 2022, Donglan received 1.36 million red tourism tourists, generating a total revenue of 1.7 billion yuan ($234.5 million).

Fengshan county has a number of revolutionary sites, such as the Red Army Rock, the Red Army Field, and the secret arsenal. It is a patriotism education base in Guangxi. Zhongting village of Zhongting township and Baile village of Changzhou town were also awarded the title of "Red Army Village", forming a red education base.
