On Oct 26, the left side of the Dahongjiang Reservoir Viaduct, a key project of the Bama-Pingguo Expressway invested in and constructed by New Development Transportation Group, was completed. So far, all the main bridges of the project have been completed, laying a strong foundation for the expressway to open to traffic by the end of the year.
The Bama-Pingguo Expressway has a total length of 75 kilometers, including 12 tunnels. The main line of the project connects with the Du'an-Bama Expressway, passing through Dahua Yao autonomous county, the county-level city Pingguo, and Mashan county, ending at the intersection of Sitang Junction and the Wuping Expressway.
To date, the investment of the Bama-Pingguo Expressway has totaled 12.7 billion yuan ($1.7 billion), accounting for 91.63 percent of the total budget investment of 13.85 billion yuan.
On Oct 26, the Bangli Tunnel, a control project of the Pingtang-Tian'e Expressway, was completed, laying a solid foundation for the project to open to traffic by the end of the year.
The main line of the Pingtang-Tian'e Expressway is 59.2 km long, starting from near Yunyangguan, Yueli town, Nandan county, and connecting Wudang in Guizhou province to Tian'e county via Pingtang, as well as connecting the Nandan-Tian'e Expressway and the Tian'e-Bama Expressway.
After the completion of the project, a convenient expressway will be formed between Guiyang, Pingtang, Tian'e, Bama, and Nanning. Upon its opening, the driving time from Tian'e to Jinchengjiang will be shortened from three hours to one hour, while the driving time to Nanning will be shortened from five hours to three hours.
