The construction commencement ceremony of Bama-Lingyun-Tianlin section of the Hezhou Xilin Expressway was recently held in Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county, marking the start of construction of the last expressway in Bama's expressway network.

The expressway is invested in and constructed by Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group. It starts from Bading village in Bama Yao autonomous county, connecting to the Du'an-Bama Expressway, and ends near the Pingxiong parking area of the G78 Shantou-Kunming Expressway. The main line of the project is 111.6 kilometers long and is built according to the standard of four-lane expressways, with a design speed of 100 km per hour and an estimated total investment of 22 billion yuan ($3 billion).

After the completion of the project, Bama will become the first ethnic autonomous county with a ring expressway in China, which will improve the passenger and freight transport capacity, as well as the service level of the road in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, especially in Hechi and Baise. It will also provide strong support for the construction of Bama International Longevity and Health Tourism Resort, bolstering economic and social development along the line.
