Nandan holds Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival celebrations

On Sept 23, Nandan county held an event in Manba village to welcome the upcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and celebrate the Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, attracting people of all ethnic groups in the county to gather together.

On the day of the event, literary and art workers, as well as local villagers gave wonderful performances. In addition, interesting activities related to agricultural production and labor, such as rice cutting competitions, corn peeling competitions, skateboard competitions, fishing in pond waters, as well as duck hunting, were also held, attracting the participation of many farmers.

Over the years, Nandan county has created eight national geographical indication agricultural product brands, promoted the in-depth integration of characteristic industries and rural tourism, optimized the industrial structure and rural governance order, improved rural features, as well as enhanced farmers' sense of gain and happiness. The county has formed multiple characteristic industries, such as ecological rice, flower seedlings, beef cattle breeding, and camellia oleifera, which are beneficial to boosting rural vitalization.
