Luocheng develops snail rice noodles raw material industry

With the approaching autumn equinox and Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, farmers in Luocheng Mulao autonomous county rush to harvest mature long beans and transfer them for sale in time. There is a busy harvest scene everywhere in the county.

Following Liuzhou's snail rice noddles industry development and its raw material demand, based on the county's high-quality ecological resources, Luocheng has implemented the "company + base + cooperative + farmer" business model, and introduced preferential policies for the development of the snail rice noddles raw material industry in recent years.

It has supported several leading enterprises, and built four raw material supply and deep processing bases for long beans, snails, bamboo shoots, and funguses, thus promoting continuous increase of people's income and boosting rural vitalization. This year, the county has planted nearly 10,000 mu (666.7 hectares) of long beans and 10,000 mu of hemp bamboo, and has bred 1,058 mu of snails and 1.67 million sticks of fungus. The industry covers 11 towns in the county.
