Hechi unveils pavilion at 2022 CAEXPO Tourism Exhibition

The 2022 China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Tourism Exhibition opened on Sept 19 in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, with the Hechi Pavilion appearing at the expo to carry out cultural tourism promotion activities. 

The exhibition is being held both online and offline until Sept 21, with the offline exhibition area spanning about 25,000 square meters, including seven exhibition halls. Through building a trading platform for exhibitors from home and abroad, the event aims at injecting unprecedented vitality into regional tourism and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN, speeding up the construction of transforming Guilin into one of the top tourist cities in the world and building Guangxi into a world-renewed tourist destination.

During the exhibition, the Hechi Pavilion has set up a special achievement exhibition area of the Bronze Drum Culture (Hechi) Ecological Protection Experimental Zone, focusing on the promotion of 13 representative Hechi's intangible cultural heritage items that showcase the city's traditional festival culture. In addition, Hechi's longevity and healthcare resources, red culture, ethnic customs, as well as other cultural tourism resources are also being showcased.

During the exhibition's opening day, Donglan county's performers performed the Yao ethnic group's folk songs and bronze drum dance, demonstrating the cultural characteristics of Hechi's ethnic minorities and its cultural tourism resources.

In addition, representatives of several scenic spots and travel agencies took part in negotiations and discussed intentional cooperation agreements, striving to promote Hechi cultural tourism resources.
