Hechi's Xia'nan-Chehe highway to open to traffic

Construction units have been working hard recently to finish the pavement engineering of the highway project from Huanjiang's Xia'nan town to Nandan's Chehe town, striving to ensure that the highway can open to traffic before Oct 1.

The highway project is an autonomous-region-level public welfare construction project, with a total investment of 828 million yuan ($119 million). Spanning 50.17 kilometers, the line runs from Xia'nan town, Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, passes through Xia'nan town, Bagong town, and Celing town, ending in Chehe town, Nandan county.

Construction on the project started in September 2020. As of Sept 1, the project has completed an investment of 812 million yuan, accounting for 98 percent of the total investment.
