Hechi's agricultural development posts strong results in H1

According to the Hechi municipal bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, the development of Hechi's agricultural industry has achieved remarkable results in the first half of 2022 through optimizing the industrial layout, improving the industrial system, as well as promoting the high-quality development of characteristic industries.
Among the highlights of the development of the agricultural industry is that the added value of the primary industry increased by 6.6 percent year-on-year, ranking first among cities in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The city was also approved to create the country's first sericulture advantageous and characteristic industrial cluster, with 150 million yuan ($21.5 million) obtained from the central agricultural production development fund.
In the first half of this year, the city produced 140,300 and 481,500 beef cattle and mutton sheep, a year-on-year increase of 18.7 percent and 18.81 percent respectively.
The city has 12 villages ranking among Guangxi's top 100 pilot villages for rural vitalization reform, with its number of pilot villages ranking first in the autonomous region. In addition, Du'an Yao autonomous county was approved as the rural vitalization reform advanced county in Guangxi. The city also has seven autonomous-region-level modern characteristic agricultural demonstration zones, with a cumulative number of 59, ranking third in the region.
