Hechi promotes construction of intl health tourism resort
Since the beginning of this year, Hechi has been striving to build an international livable health and wellness tourist destination centered around the "one place, one district, two areas" strategic layout, which refers to the Bama international longevity health tourism resort, the Liu Sanjie ethnic customs tourist area, the Baili Longjiang River ethnic culture ecological tourism belt, as well as the Hongshui River sightseeing and leisure health belt.

This year, the city has focused on promoting 62 cultural tourism projects. By the end of July, an investment of 671 million yuan ($99.3 million) had been completed, accounting for 54.2 percent of the annual planned investment. The city has been promoting 110 major projects in the big health and cultural tourism industries. By the end of June, an investment of 1.67 billion yuan was completed, accounting for 49.17 percent of the annual planned investment.
The city has launched a variety of 2022-themed promotional activities, as well as introduced 10 specific measures to promote the recovery and development of the tourism industry from three aspects: stimulating the potential of the tourism consumption market; increasing the promotion of tourism enterprises; and strengthening publicity and marketing.
In the first half of this year, the city held nearly 500 online and offline mass cultural activities, benefiting more than 400,000 people.
It also held 20 public welfare events, carried out fitness training for more than 3,300 people, as well as carried out activities like national physique monitoring, lectures, and exhibitions.
