Hechi farmers busy with summer harvesting, planting
Hechi people are ecstatic about the harvest at the start of fall. According to local agricultural department statistics, as of Aug 4, the city's summer harvested grain area was 1.74 million mu (116,013 hectares), accounting for 84 percent of the expected 2.07 million mu summer harvest area.

As of Aug 4, the city has planted 1.2 million mu of grain crops this summer, a year-on-year increase of 10,700 mu.
Since the beginning of this year, the county has organized production service teams to provide planting and grain monitoring guidance in 11 counties and districts. Meanwhile, the county also arranged eight service guidance groups to carry out guidance services such as agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation, rainy season field management and post-disaster production recovery to ensure stable production and guarantee farmer's income.
According to statistics, the city has replanted 7,300 mu of grains, and the replanting efforts have restored 10,000 metric tons of grain output.
