Hechi plans major projects to stimulate economic development

Since the beginning of this year, Hechi has given full play to the strong effect of major project construction on investment and economic growth.

The city has established a special work class for major project construction work. Under the strong promotion of the special work class, it has successively connected with industry-leading enterprises like TongKun Group, China Huadian Group, and Sany Heavy Energy, as well as introduced major projects, including ones involving lithium iron phosphate new energy materials and smart manufacturing of wind power equipment.

In addition, the city pays attention to project planning, project reserves, talent training, funding guarantees, business training, and results inspection. It has also formed a set of scientific and efficient new mechanisms for project promotion, which provide a strong force for accelerating the planning and construction of major projects in the city.

In 2022, the city listed 543 major projects at the autonomous region and municipal levels, 89 more projects than the same period last year, as well as an investment of 16.7 billion yuan ($2.5 billion) more than the same period last year.

From January to June, the city has started 71 major projects, with an operation rate of 68.3 percent.

It has also completed 963 infrastructure projects, with a total investment of 574.24 billion yuan, as of the end of June.
