Hechi Huile Bridge to be put into use next year
The main arch of the Hechi Longjiang No 6 Bridge, or Huile Bridge, was successfully closed on Aug 3, laying a solid foundation for the bridge to reopen in May next year.
With a total investment of 98 million yuan ($14.5 million), the Huile Bridge project is a major project at the municipal level and a key livelihood project of the city. The completion of the project will greatly ease the traffic pressure in Hechi's urban area and play an important role in facilitating travel for residents on both sides of the Longjiang River.
The main line of the Huile Bridge project is located in Jinchengjiang district and spans a total length of 211 meters, of which the bridge is 128 meters long, the approach road is 83 meters long, while the bridge and approach road are both 26.5 meters wide. A 13-meter-wide underground passage will be set up at the intersection of Jiangnan West Road on the main line, with a length of 27 meters. The reconstruction Jincheng Middle Road connecting the approach road, with Jiangnan West Road and Jiangbei West Road on both sides of the bridge is 751.35 meters long.
The project aims to complete the construction of the arch structure before Dec 31, and is projected to be put into use on May 1, 2023.
