Good air quality rate of Hechi reaches 98.9% in H1

Hechi completed its pollution prevention and control tasks in the second quarter of 2022, while its ecological environment quality remained at the forefront of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and in the country, officials announced at a press conference on the city's ecological environment protection efforts on July 28.

In the first half of this year, there were no major environmental pollution incidents in Hechi. The city completed the inspection of sewage outfalls into rivers and the safety rate of key construction land in the city reached 100 percent. In addition, the city investigated 79 enterprises in key industries involving cadmium and other heavy metals, as well as signed prevention and control responsibility letters with 30 key soil pollution supervision units during this period.

The city's ambient air quality remained excellent in the first half of the year. Among the 181 days that ambient air was tested, it had 179 days with good air quality, a rate of 98.9 percent, ranking first in the region.

The city's surface water quality was 100 percent up to standard, the water quality compliance rate of its 25 rivers and reservoirs was 100 percent, while the water quality compliance rate of drinking water sources in its urban area was also 100 percent.
