On July 14, the Tian'e interchange of the Pingtang-Tian'e Expressway completed its whole line construction. It is the largest and highest pier body hub interchange in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Invested by Guangxi Communications Investment Group and constructed by China Communications Construction Second Harbor Engineering, the total length of bridges within the interchange is 4,758 meters, covering an area of 250,000 square meters.
The interchange is located northeast of the Hongshui River of Tian'e county. There are 12 ramp bridges and one main bridge within its scope. The main bridge is the control project of the Pingtang-Tian'e Expressway.
The Pingtang-Tian'e Expressway is located in Nandan county and Tian'e county of Hechi, Guangxi, spanning a length of 59.2 kilometers. It connects the Nandan-Tian'e Expressway and the Tian'e-Bama Expressway, serving as an important part of the Tian'e-Beihai Expressway. The construction of the project is of great significance to improve the national and regional expressway network, improve regional traffic conditions, as well as accelerate local economic development.
The project's construction unit overcame issues like fluctuating terrain elevation, high mountains, and steep slopes to complete construction of the interchange's whole line.
To date, the foundation earthwork, bridge pile foundation, pier column, and tunnel excavation have been completed. The construction unit will strive to complete the bridge deck construction of the Tian'e interchange in July, with the Pingtang-Tian'e Expressway projected to open to traffic this year.
