Luocheng bayberry garden enters picking season
On June 15, a bayberry garden in Xihua village, Baotan township, Luocheng Mulam autonomous county, Hechi launched its picking season. Many visitors pick and buy fresh bayberries there.
In recent years, Luocheng has planted 1,200 mu (80 hectares) and 18,000 Dongkui bayberry trees in Bindong Mountain, providing rural residents with job opportunities and boosting rural vitalization efforts.
This year, the bayberry garden is expected to produce more than 150 metric tons of fresh bayberries, with an output value of 2 million yuan ($300,000), helping 310 people from 78 households in the surrounding villages to increase their incomes.
