Project construction boosts Hechi's stable economic growth
Since the beginning of this year, Hechi has focused on the construction of major projects. In 2022, Hechi has planned 498 major projects at the autonomous region and municipal levels, with a total investment of 371.05 billion yuan ($55.49 billion) and an annual planned investment of 48.04 billion yuan.
Since March, the city's economy has been impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic. In order to minimize this impact and promote the construction of major projects, Hechi has established a special class for major project promotion, as well as provided comprehensive service guidance for enterprises.
On June 6, the main bridge arch-truss of the Tian'e Longtan Super Bridge achieved closure. This arch bridge, which boasts a total length of 2,488.55 meters and a 600-meter-span, is a key control project of the Nandan-Tian'e expressway. According to the plan, the Nandan-Tian'e Expressway will be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2022.

Since the beginning of this year, the Hechi section of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway has made every effort to promote the project's construction. To date, 9.32 million cubic meters of earth and stone have been completed for the subgrade and station works, accounting for 99 percent of the total. In addition, the bridge engineering pile foundation, box girder erection, and segment beam installation have all been completed.
From January to April, the city's fixed asset investment increased by 4 percent year-on-year, ranking fifth in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The city has completed 654 project planning reserves, with an investment of 192.54 billion yuan.
