Huanjiang extends poverty alleviation, rural vitalization work
The GDP growth rate of Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county topped Hechi last year and for the first quarter of 2022 due to the success of its poverty alleviation and rural vitalization work.
Last year, the annual per capita disposable income growth rate of the county's impoverished population was 7.7 percentage points higher than that of rural residents, while the growth rate of rural residents' per capita disposable income was higher than the national and regional averages.
Due to its location in a contiguous and concentrated rocky desertification area, Huanjiang has suffered from poverty historically.
At present, the county has a poverty alleviation resettlement population of 17,800. More than 10,000 people who have been resettled have found stable employment.

In addition, a number of pastoral complex projects integrating primary, secondary, and tertiary industries are being accelerated. To date, the county has established 192 characteristic agricultural demonstration parks. The Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway will open to traffic next year, which will bring new opportunities to Huanjiang's rural vitalization.
