In recent years, Hechi's Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county has vigorously developed the photovoltaic and wind power new energy industry based on its advantageous resources, thus promoting green and low-carbon development.

The carbon emissions of photovoltaic power generation are 1/10 to 1/20 of that of fossil fuel energy power generation. As one of the important energy sources in China in the future, photovoltaic power will provide a powerful engine for the goal of "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality".

Recently, Guangxi Huadian Energy launched a 300MW photovoltaic power generation project in Huanjiang. The total investment of the project is about 1.5 billion yuan ($224.8 million), and the rated capacity of the construction scale is 300 megawatts. After being put into operation, it is expected to provide 350 million kWh of clean electricity per year, saving about 107,400 metric tons of coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 268,800 tons per year.

The project adopts the form of agricultural and photovoltaic complementary construction, efficiently utilizes the land under the photovoltaic panels, and forms a new development pattern of combining clean energy with green agriculture.

Huanjiang plans to achieve the goals of "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality" by using renewable energy development as a key measure to optimize the energy structure and promote green and low-carbon development, and speed up the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system.
