Tian'e county to open its first expressway in 2022

Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region plans to start a number of expressway projects this year, including the over 2,000-kilometer Longsheng-Dongzhong Highway. It also plans to connect expressways to every county in the region, ending the history of no expressways in Hechi's Tian'e county, Baise's Xilin county, and Wuzhou's Cangwu county.

Last year, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region invested 161.6 billion yuan ($25.6 billion) in expressway construction, adding 538 km of new traffic mileage, with the total mileage reaching 7,339 km. The investment, construction scale, and traffic mileage record highs in the district's expressway construction.

In 2022, Guangxi will accelerate the construction of expressway projects. Its fixed asset investment in expressways is projected to be at least 180 billion yuan, while the total mileage of expressways in the region is expected to exceed 8,000 km.
