Hechi services over 2.3m passengers for Spring Festival rush

During the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush, which fell from Jan 17 to Feb 25, the total passenger volume of Hechi's transportation industry reached 2.03 million.

In terms of road transportation, the city serviced 92,821 vehicles during the Spring Festival travel rush with 1.92 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 50.79 percent. In addition, Hechi passenger transport companies provided chartered car services for migrant workers in Guangdong province and for local schools students.

In terms of water transportation, Hechi strengthened the organization and management of waterway transportation to maintain the legal operation of the waterway market and smooth waterways. A total of 112 ships were dispatched by water transportation enterprises during this period and the passenger volume was 3,300.

Hechi railway departments strengthened the organization of passenger flow at stations, while continuing to implement strong COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures. The city's railway passenger volume was 102,000 during the 40-day period, a year-on-year increase of 49.7 percent.

In that period, Hechi Jinchengjiang Airport handled 1,111 passengers, decreasing 59.2 percent year-on-year.
