Bama accelerates intl health tourism resort construction

Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county will give full play to its advantages of being "the hometown of longevity in the world," based on its characteristic pharmaceutical industry, and accelerate the construction of Bama International Longevity and Health Tourism Resort, Huang Bingfeng, Party chief of Bama Yao autonomous county, proposed at the fifth session of the 13th Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress.

In 2022, Guangxi will focus on furthering the recovery of its tourism industry, accelerating the construction of world-class tourist destinations, further promoting the construction of the Tourism Belt Forming Along China-Vietnam Border and the Bama International Longevity and Health Tourism Resort, accelerating the development of its big health industry, as well as running the China (Guangxi) Big Health Industry Summit.

There are nearly 6,000 centenarians and 33 "China's Longevity Hometowns" in Guangxi, ranking first in China.

In recent years, Guangxi has made efforts to promote the rapid development of its big health industry. It has also promoted the construction of health care industry clusters in Nanning, Liuzhou, Guilin, Hechi, Wuzhou, and other cities. It has formed several senior care services clusters, including the Bama elderly care service industry cluster.

Guangxi officials stated that they would continue to promote the development of the senior care industry, as well as accelerate the construction of a domestic first-class, internationally renowned livable health resort and health tourism destination.
