In recent years, Hechi's Jinchengjiang district has been developing its rich tourism resources, leading to the rapid development of the tourism industry. The total tourism revenue increased from 2.92 billion yuan ($458 million) in 2016 to 5.65 billion yuan in 2020, an average annual growth rate of 19.8 percent.

Over the past five years, the district has invested 29.77 million yuan to upgrade the road from the urban area to Liujia Scenic Area and build bicycle lanes. Meanwhile, the district has promoted the Liujia-Bagong tourist secondary road and Dashantang-Bagong tourist secondary road projects and improved the level of tourist roads.

In order to unleash cultural vitality and further promote the integration of culture and tourism, Jinchengjiang has developed ethnic and folk culture and preserved intangible cultural heritage, setting up events such as the Baoping Xialuo Shoulder Pole Cultural Tourism Festival and the Bagong Xiaqiao Bamboo Eco-Leisure Cultural Tourism Festival.

The district has also given full play to the integration of the tourism industry with agriculture and built a group of characteristic agricultural complexes offering leisure sightseeing, agricultural experience, exhibition and sales.

In the future, the area will speed up construction on a series of projects, such as the low-altitude flight project at the Hechi Jinchengjiang Airport, and build a number of influential scenic spots to promote the "all-for-one" development of tourism.
