Peng Qiuping, a swimmer from Hechi's Yizhou district, took the gold medal with her team in the S4 50-meter relay freestyle final at China's National Paralympic Games and broke the world record with a time of 2 min 30.88 sec.

Peng also won a bronze medal in the S4 200m freestyle final on Oct 23 with a time of 3:21.46, and won her second bronze medal in the women's S4 100m freestyle final on Oct 24.

Peng had a disability in both legs due to an illness when she was 5 years old, which required her to use a wheelchair. In 2015, Peng broke the world record three times at the Ninth National Paralympic Games and Special Olympics. She won a gold medal in the women's S3 50m backstroke final at the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016, and three gold medals at the 2017 Mexico World Paralympic Swimming Championships.

At the 2019 Asian Paralympic Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, she won a gold and two silver medals. On top of that, she won a gold, a silver and a bronze medal at the 2019 London World Paralympic Swimming Championships, and in the same year, she won three gold medals, one silver medal and four bronze medals at the 10th National Paralympic Games.
