Hechi Bafu Bridge passes completion acceptance
Hechi's Bafu Bridge, which crosses the Hongshui River and connects Hechi's Jingsheng town and Nanning's Jinchai town, passed completion acceptance on Oct 15.
The Bafu Bridge construction project belongs to the fifth phase of the Xincheng-Dahua secondary road. It starts at the upper reaches of the Bafu Ferry and ends at the Xincheng-Dahua secondary road. The bridge is 329.54 meters long and 12 meters wide, and its designated speed is 40 kilometers per hour. The project budget was approved at a total investment of 61.36 million yuan ($9.6 million).
After the bridge was completed and opened to traffic, Xincheng-Dahua secondary road was fully connected after 10 years of construction. It also speeds up travel for the Zhuang and Yao people in Jingsheng town, Baiwang town and Jinchai town who used to primarily rely on ferry boats to cross the Hongshui River. The completion of the bridge is of great significance to the promotion of rural revitalization in Guangxi's Dashi Mountain Area.
