Hechi spends $606m to improve people's livelihood this year

From January to July this year, Hechi has spent 3.9 billion yuan ($606 million) to improve people's livelihood in areas such as social security, health, education, water conservancy, housing, agricultural subsidies, ecology, culture, poverty alleviation consolidation as well as science and technology.

Recently, the central kindergarten in Dongshan town, Bama Yao autonomous county opened its door and welcomed 119 children from Zhuang, Yao and other ethnic groups to enter school. This is the first public kindergarten in Dongshan town.

In April, villagers in Miaoshi village, Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county reported to the local government about the problem of the volume of unstable drinking water. Recently, the rural drinking water maintenance project with an investment of 94,000 yuan was completed and put into use. The drinking water problem that has troubled local people for three years has now been resolved.

In addition, Hechi has set up after-school classes to solve the safety and learning problems of students. Moreover, the city has launched a series of cultural activities, and delivered books and paintings to the public to enrich people's lives.
