On Sept 11, Lan Junyi, a female from Yizhou district, Hechi won the silver medal in the finals of the women's skateboarding competition at the China's 14th National Games. This was also the first medal won by the Guangxi delegation at the National Games.

On Sept 15, the Hechi Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Hechi Municipal People's Government sent a congratulatory message to the Guangxi Sports Delegation of the 14th National Games to congratulate the Lan on winning the first medal for Guangxi.

The International Olympic Committee officially announced that skateboarding became an official event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in August 2016, and set up two competitions: Street and Park. At this year's National Games, skateboarding also became a competitive event for the first time. A total of 62 people were eligible to participate in the finals. There were four competitions, namely men's Street, women's Street, men's Park, and women's Park.
