Nandan rural tourism achieves remarkable results

In recent years, Hechi's Nandan county has focused on characteristic agriculture and ethnic culture resources to promote the integrated development of leisure agriculture and rural tourism, and has achieved remarkable results.

Up to now, the county has established a China's Beautiful Leisure Village and two National Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Demonstration Sites. There are 115 leisure agriculture business entities, and 2,100 people are making a living from rural tourism in the county.

Relying on over 10,000 mu (667 hectares) of Bapin terraces, 10,000 mu of camellia oil plantations, and the Laxi National Wetland Park, the county has attracted investment and introduced two major rural tourism projects, namely the Baikuyao Health Tourism Industrial Park and the Manjiang Farming Scenic Spot.

From January to July this year, Nandan has received a total of 2.4 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 70.8 percent, and the total tourism consumption reached 2.95 billion yuan ($458 million), a year-on-year increase of 74.28 percent.
