Hechi strives to build longevity, Liu Sanjie tourism brands

In recent years, the city of Hechi has vigorously developed its healthcare industry and cultural tourism industry, and has built tourism brands such as "World Longevity City" and "Liu Sanjie's hometown."

The city's key cultural tourism projects have completed an investment of 4.75 billion yuan ($735 million), and built a series of scenic spots such as Liu Sanjie's Hometown Tourist Area, Luocheng Cotton Tiankeng Scenic Area and Huanjiang Mulun Karst Eco-tourism Area. There are 19 national 4A-level tourist attractions being added, and more than 50 A-level tourist attractions in the city, making the "13th Five-Year Plan" (2016-20) tourist attractions construction goal complete one year in advance. During the past five years, the average annual growth of tourist reception and total tourism consumption is 25 percent. 

In the first half of this year, Hechi received 23.6 million tourists from around the world, a year-on-year increase of 119.52 percent, and total tourism consumption was 30 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 136.73 percent.
