Hechi records good wild downy grapes harvest

The 23,000 mu (1,533 hectares) of wild downy grapes planted in Jingsheng town in Hechi's Du'an Yao autonomous county entered the harvest season recently. The town's total output this year is expected to exceed 400 metric tons, and the estimated output value could reach 2.7 million yuan ($0.4 million).

The county held a downy grapes harvest festival on Aug 27, to celebrate the joy and expand the sales.

Jingsheng town is known as the "hometown of downy grapes in Du'an." In recent years, local residents have innovated business model and now more than 800 households have increased their incomes by developing the downy grapes industry, which has become a new engine for rural revitalization.
