Since the beginning of this year, Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county has focused on rural revitalization and the creation of a national civilized city work objective. It has achieved high-quality economic and social development. In the first half of the year, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 819 million yuan ($125.9 million), a year-on-year increase of 13 percent.

Bama has made efforts to promote key industries development such as pig breeding, edible fungus cultivation, dragon fruit planting, and cattle and chicken breeding. In addition, the county will strive to form advantageous industrial clusters of ecological agriculture, health tourism and red tourism in a relatively short time.

The county tried to strengthen the support and management for poverty alleviation relocation, and enhance the happiness of its residents. Now various resettlement sites have established professional cooperatives such as camellia oil and edible fungi, solving 4,014 relocation labors' employment problems.

The county continues to increase the construction of rural roads and built dual-lane roads in its villages. It is also speeding up the progress of expressway construction, and strives to build Bama into an important transportation hub in northwest Guangxi as well as an important transportation node in the new land-sea corridor in Southwestern China.
