In recent years, Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county has set up outdoor sports and cultural entertainment facilities, hardened roads, renovated farm houses and carried out greening and beautification work. The rural landscape has been improved a lot.

The Guangdong-Guangxi cooperation project was obtained in 2021 to set up Shan village and Qiaotou village in Jiazhuan town as the rural revitalization demonstration sites for beautiful villages. The county introduced the "fish-and-rice symbiosis" planting project, helped residents to develop the homestay and healthcare industries, striving to the per capita annual income of local farmers by more than 1,000 yuan ($154).

The county's rural landscape improvement project prioritizes the protection of the rural ecological environment, fully respects the natural environment and historical culture, and mobilizes and guides the residents to actively participate in the renovation and decoration of farmhouses. Relying on each village's unique natural environment, history and culture, the county promotes the different rural landscapes in each village.

The cooperation between Bama and Shenzhen Dapeng New District has boosted Bama's rural revitalization in the aspects of funds, experience and resources. A total of 9.4 million yuan has been invested in infrastructure facilities to build the comprehensive demonstration sites for beautiful villages, which has continuously improved farmers' sense of acquisition, happiness and security.
