Huanjiang strengthens industrial supervision to boost rural revitalization

In order to consolidate poverty alleviation achievements and promote rural revitalization, Hechi's Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county started making efforts to strengthen industrial supervision from the start of this year.

The county's disciplinary inspection and supervision officials took note of the opinions and suggestions from farmers, and solved difficult issues in the development of the agricultural industry. Meanwhile, 39 farmers' technical personnel were invited to provide technical consultation services in key production areas.

Huanjiang has held 18 fruit technology training courses and trained 718 farmers so far. The county has achieved a total area of 142,500 mu (9,500 hectares) of fruit cultivation, and is expected to produce more than 130,000 metric tons of fruit this year.

In addition, the county has visited 27 agricultural industry projects, and urged functional departments to solve 18 agricultural industry problems, and provide a strong guarantee of promoting rural revitalization.

For industrial development, the county gave full play to rural revitalization supervisors, and carried out supervision work in fields of rural collective economic project operations, industrial fund management, projects promotion, results of operations and labor workers.

The Huanjiang Camellia Oil Demonstration Area was rated as a four-star modern characteristic agriculture core demonstration area in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in 2020. In the first half of this year, the county cultivated 11,100 mu of camellia oil plants, completing the total task of 55.92 percent.

"Next, we will focus on the development of rural industries and the implementation of policies that benefit people, enhance the supervision force to ensure the policies can be implemented in detail, and improve people's overall wellbeing," a county discipline inspection and supervision official said.
