Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway investments amount to $1.58b

The Hechi section of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway project has accrued 10.23 billion yuan ($1.58 billion) of total investments since its construction started. The costs of construction are 9.11 billion yuan, and the demolition costs are 1.12 billion yuan, Hechi Daily reported on July 14.

The Hechi section of the railway project is 164.5 kilometers long and passes through Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county,  Jinchengjiang district, Yizhou district, and Du'an Yao autonomous county. There are 35 bridges totaling 38.47 km in length, and 25 tunnels totaling 105.24 km. The bridges and tunnels account for 88.2 percent of the total length of the Hechi section.

As of May 30, 7.88 million square meters of the roadbed and station construction had been completed in the Hechi section, accounting for 88.1 percent of the total, while 98.2 percent of the bridge projects had been completed, and 83.1 percent of the tunnel projects had been completed.

As of June, the project has delivered 5,177.35 acres of construction land, completing 103.75 percent of the land acquisition task. A total of 245,600 square meters of houses have been demolished and 100 percent of the housing demolition tasks have been completed. The total amount of land acquisition and demolition funds reached 1.2 billion yuan, accounting for 99.17 percent of the allocated funds, and 564.72 mu (37.65 hectares) of land for resettlement was completed, which amounts to 91.67 percent.

The Hechi high-speed railway office has held several coordination meetings this year to address urgent temporary land issues and to ensure the construction progress.
