Du'an-Bama Expressway opens to traffic
The Du'an-Bama Expressway successfully opened to traffic on July 1. Hechi officials held an opening ceremony at Dahua East Toll Station on the same day.
Du'an-Bama Expressway is part of the Hezhou-Bama Expressway, and is a major project in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The expressway starts at Chengjiang town in Du'an Yao autonomous county, and terminates at Latong village in Bama Yao autonomous county, where it connects with the Hechi-Baise Expressway. It passes through three Yao autonomous counties - Du'an, Dahua and Bama. The total length of the expressway is 120.05 kilometers.
The project further improves the construction of the Hezhou-Bama expressway, solves traffic difficulties between Du'an and Bama, and has positive social and economic effects on the areas along the route.
Tourists can enjoy various kinds of holidays in Bama such as health tourism, red tourism, tourism along the Hongshui River and karst tourism. The expressway will enrich and improve the quality of tourism, and boost Hechi's rural revitalization.
Several sections having already opened for trial operation: the section from Du'an Chengjiang Toll Station to Dahua Baima Toll Station, and the section from Dahua Qiangwei Toll Station to Bama Hub.
According to relevant regulations, taking a Type 1 passenger car as an example, it will cost 40 yuan ($6.18) to get from Dahua East Toll Station to Baima Toll Station, 13 yuan from Bama South Toll Station to Qiangwei Toll Station, and 13 yuan from Dahua East Toll Station to Chengjiang Toll Station.
