The Du'an-Bama section of the Hezhou-Bama Expressway project - the first expressway passing through Dahua Yao autonomous county - passed its acceptance inspection on June 26.

The Hezhou-Bama Expressway runs through the central region of Guangxi, from east to west. The Du'an-Bama section starts near Dongxie village in Du'an Yao autonomous county, and the terminus connects with the Hechi-Baise Expressway. It passes through three Yao autonomous counties - Du'an, Dahua and Bama.

The main line of the expressway adopts the technical standard of the four-lane expressway. The roadbed is 26 meters, the top speed is 100 kilometers per hour, and the total length is 119.13 km. The total cost of the project is 16.75 billion yuan ($2.59 billion). As of June 18, the expressway had seen a total spend of 16.25 billion yuan, accounting for 97 percent of the total investment.

Hongshui River Bridge is one of the key projects of the expressway. The bridge is 515 meters long, and connects Guhe town and Baima town in Dahua Yao autonomous county. The bridge has promoted travel and economic links between the surrounding towns, and improved local people's living conditions. It is of great significance in terms of consolidating poverty alleviation and rural revitalization achievements.
