Nandan achieves rapid industrial development

Nandan county is experiencing rapid industrial development this year. From January to May, the county's total industrial output value of enterprises above designated size reached 8.74 billion yuan ($1.35 billion), with a year-on-year growth of 40.36 percent.

Construction on the county's key projects has been advancing steadily. For instance, 420,000 metric tons of zinc oxygen pressure leaching technology developed by Nanfang Nonferrous Metals Group is in the construction. Guangxi Danquan Wine Company has made significant headway in transforming its brewing workshop, built 10 stainless steel wine storage tanks, and its research and development center will be completed soon.

Meanwhile, several enterprises have achieved substantial growth in output value. The industrial output value of Zhenghua Smelter increased by 220.22 percent, that of Sanxin Company increased by 323.75 percent, and that of Danquan Wine Company increased by 34.7 percent.

Since the start of this year, Nandan county has been helping enterprises to apply for project subsidy funds. The financing guarantee fund for emerging industries and other projects has received 378.87 million yuan. The county also awarded a total of 3.17 million yuan to 19 enterprises.

The county has set up a service group for 29 enterprises above designated size in order to help them solve problems encountered during production. In addition, the county also strengthened supervision of enterprises' production safety standards to prevent the occurrence of workplace accidents.
