300-mu sunflower field blooms in Nandan

A 300-mu (20 hectare) sunflower field has begun to bloom in Yongli village, Luofu town, Nandan county, attracting numerous tourists and amateur shutterbugs. The field will enter its best viewing period in about a week's time.

Nandan county has developed its "leisure agriculture" sector to boost the collective village economy, and has built a number of leisure agriculture sightseeing demonstration areas in recently years.

Aiming to use Yongli village's natural advantages, the county guided local farmers to plant sunflowers this year, in order to enhance farmers' income as well as beautify the rural environment.
