An on-site recruitment fair jointly held by Shenzhen's Dapeng New District, Guangdong province and Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county was held in late February as a targeted measure to support Bama's development.

More than 20 companies from Dapeng New District advertised over 1,000 job opportunities for people in Bama, attracting more than 3,000 people to the fair. Nearly 200 people have since come to an agreement with Shenzhen companies to work in Dapeng New District.

Dapeng New District offers preferential policies to encourage people registered as living under the poverty line to work in other areas. Those who have worked in companies in Dapeng New District for more than three months can receive a monthly subsidy of 800 yuan ($123) from 2020 to 2022.

Dapeng New District has provided a total of 5.59 million yuan in cooperative funding in recent years, organizing 58 training projects for 3,499 impoverished people, lifting 2,106 people out of poverty, helping 2,760 impoverished people find stable jobs in East China, and letting 402 students pursue further study in vocational schools in Shenzhen.

Dapeng New District and Bama are also set to devote further efforts in labor cooperation, such as collecting more recruitment information from Shenzhen companies and promoting information via various platforms such as websites and WeChat accounts.
