A research team led by Liu Zhenwei, member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and vice chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, visited Bama Yao autonomous county, Hechi from Oct 29 to 30.

Special issues like the revision of the Law on Animal Epidemic Prevention, the reform of the rural collective property rights system, and the legislation of rural collective economic organizations were surveyed and discussed.

The research team paid a field visit to the collective chicken breeding base of Longtian village, Yandong town, inspecting the construction of the village's collective economic cooperative and assessing the status of its animal epidemic prevention efforts. They also learned about the development history of the village and its collective property rights system reform, as well as researched the development of the village’s "five-in-one" credit system of inclusive finance.

He noted that the county has greatly strengthened its village collective economy, effectively promoting the increase of people's incomes and bolstering its poverty alleviation efforts through the establishment of specialized farmers' cooperatives.
