With the successful completion of the beam erection construction task of the Rongjiang Bridge on Oct 24, the Rongshui-Hechi Expressway has completed all construction of its important nodes, achieving the double-width penetration of the expressway.

The Rongjiang Bridge is one of the key control projects of the Rongshui-Hechi Expressway. It has a total length of 589 meters and a bridge deck width of 29.5 meters. The construction of the steel trestle of the bridge began in February 2018, and it was completed after two years and eight months of work.

The Rongshui-Hechi Expressway has a total length of 105.69 kilometers. The main line adopts two-way four-lane expressway standards, with a design speed of 100 km per hour. It is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic on Nov 28, one year and one month earlier than originally scheduled.

After the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will end the history of Luocheng Mulam autonomous county, a national-level poverty-stricken county and the only Mulam autonomous county in China, not being able to access highways, which will play a positive role in promoting regional economic development and helping local poverty alleviation efforts.
