Huanjiang, Shenzhen hold poverty alleviation job fair

In order to effectively promote the employment of poor laborers, the human resources and social security bureau of Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, Hechi and the human resources bureau of Futian district, Shenzhen held an on-site job fair on Oct 12, providing more than 2,700 positions.

The job fair attracted more than 1,000 people seeking jobs. The staff distributed publicity materials to the job seekers on-site, which had information about the positions, benefits, and employment policies provided by 32 companies.

More than 500 peoples reached employment intentions with companies, while 126 people successfully signed contracts on site.

Since the beginning of this year, Huanjiang has deepened the Guangdong-Guangxi poverty alleviation labor cooperation in light of the current employment situation. It has actively promoted the stable employment of its poor labor force by taking measures like carrying out online and offline recruitment, strengthening the precise matchmaking of Guangdong-Guangxi labor services, providing travel services to workers relocating for jobs, implementing job subsidy policies, as well as focusing on skills training and tracking services.
