China Mobile boosts Luocheng's digital development

Luocheng Mulao autonomous county signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with China Mobile Guangxi Co's Hechi Branch on Sept 14 to promote the construction of digital cities and 5G networks in Luocheng, further improving the level of informatization development and comprehensive strength in the county.

According to the agreement, both parties will promote Luocheng in becoming a digital economy demonstration city. Hechi Mobile will make full use of its advantages in networks, technology, services, and resources to make Luocheng a key area for the implementation of major investment projects in fields like Internet plus and 5G new infrastructure, as well as to further increase investment and resource allocation.

Hechi Mobile will prioritize the construction of 5G networks in key areas like urban areas, scenic spots, and industrial parks, as well as expand rural network coverage to help poverty alleviation and rural revitalization efforts.

It will focus on e-government, smart security, smart transportation, smart agriculture, smart healthcare, smart tourism, and other fields to help the 5G industry become a new engine and driving force for the high-quality economic development of the county.

The Luocheng government will regard Hechi Mobile as an important strategic partner for 5G industry cooperation and digital city construction, providing policy support and a good environment for its innovation and development.

In the past three years, Hechi Mobile has invested a total of 210 million yuan ($31 million) in the construction of communication and information infrastructure in Luocheng, achieving full coverage of 4G networks in the county's administrative villages.

At present, the mobile 5G network has covered the main area of Luocheng. In the future, Hechi Mobile will continue to accelerate 5G network access in both urban areas and key industry user areas.
