Hechi's specialty becomes popular at agri-food fair

Agricultural products from Fengshan county, Hechi have been presented at the 19th Changchun International Agriculture & Food Expo, which opened on Aug 14 in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province.

It is the fourth time that Fengshan county has featured at the expo. It is also the only county in Guangxi to participate.

Supported by China FAW Group Corporation, the biggest car company in China, Fengshan has an exclusive exhibition area at the expo, with more than 30 products by seven Guangxi enterprises being showcased. Since 2013, FAW has invested a total of 100 million yuan ($14.42 million) to help Fengshan and implement poverty alleviation projects, including characteristic industries.

Fengshan county belongs to a typical subtropical climate zone. It is warm in winter and cool in summer with an annual average temperature of 20 C. It is a biologically diverse area, which is very conducive to the growth of crops and the formation and accumulation of nutrients. The unique climate has contributed to the excellent quality of agricultural products in Fengshan.

The expo lasts for 10 days. Fengshan's agricultural products had a sales income of 20,000 yuan on the first day of opening on Aug 14. The star anise, passion fruit, and walnuts are favored by consumers.
