111 agricultural zones in Huanjiang recognized by evaluation

To date, Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county has established a total of 193 agricultural demonstration zones (parks, spots), 111 of which have been evaluated and recognized by autonomous regions, cities, and counties. The number of established and recognized agricultural demonstration zones at all levels ranks first in Hechi.

The county has accelerated the creation of modern characteristic agricultural demonstration zones through measures like high-level advancement, detailed plans, implementation of responsibilities, integration of resources, and increased awards.

To date, the county has invested 895.14 million yuan ($128.62 million) in various demonstration zones, with each zone building 10 leisure and sightseeing agricultural parks, as well as four farmhouses, receiving 408,700 tourists and operating income of 233 million yuan.

Covering a construction area of 69,200 mu (4,613.33 hectares) each, the demonstration zones have introduced 28 leading agricultural enterprises, cultivated 276 professional agricultural cooperatives and 274 family farms, as well as trained more than 5,000 farmers and cultivated more than 400 new professional farmers.

According to statistics, the county's demonstration zones have developed 23 varieties of planting and breeding industries, including fruit, silkworms, fragrant rice, pigs, cattle, and fish. They have boosted the income of 18,700 farmers, including 5,635 impoverished households, and employed 7,899 neighboring farmers, with the payment of wages reaching 89.29 million yuan.
