Hechi starts construction on 25 projects worth $1.26b

Since the beginning of this year, 25 projects by enterprises of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, central enterprises, private enterprises, and foreign enterprises in Hechi have started construction, with a total investment of 8.83 billion yuan ($1.26 billion).

Through online and offline visiting activities, Hechi has focused on tracking China-ASEAN contracted projects in the past three years. It has also implemented resident services for key projects throughout the city, and has continued to develop daily reporting systems to create a good business environment.

The city has organized 15 online investment promotion events this year and invited more than 30 batches of customers, such as China Power Investment Corporation and Hong Kong Causeway Bay Group, to come to Hechi to explore project opportunities.

To date, the number and investment of Fortune Global 500 enterprises, Top 500 Chinese enterprises, and Top 500 Chinese private sector companies from the Greater Bay Area have increased significantly. In 2020, Hechi and the Greater Bay Area companies have signed agreements on more than 16 key projects.

A total of 28 projects by central enterprises are under discussion, with a total investment of 31.8 billion yuan. Agreements on four projects have been signed, with a total investment of 1.9 billion yuan, and two projects have been started, with a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan.

More than 20 private entrepreneurs from Guangdong province have explored investment projects in Hechi, reaching investment agreements of more than 500 million yuan for two projects.
